Gwen Steffani opened up about her decision to open up her own label in Brooklyn, New York, by releasing a new single on Friday.
“I think Brooklyn is a wonderful city,” Steffan wrote on Instagram, “and it is really important to be yourself.
So many things are about the people in this city, about the music that makes up this city.
I am so thankful to be a part of this community and its culture, and I hope it continues.”
Steffani has been releasing music under the name Gwen & Friends, and her debut EP, “Sisterhood of The Wailing, Part 2,” is available for pre-order.
The album was produced by the group’s producer, Brian Helgeland.
Steffan has collaborated with artists like Justin Bieber, Jhene Aiko, and Ariana Grande, and has been a part-time producer for the likes of The Weeknd, Bruno Mars, and Nicki Minaj.
She also worked with pop-rock acts including Coldplay and Adele.
She released her debut album, “Cherry Bomb,” in 2017.
